Eva Longoria
A true renaissance woman, Eva Longoria has done it all - from perusing a successful acting and running her own clothing line to becoming a published author and an avid activist for human rights. During the last year, her endeavors have proven to be as prominent as ever, especially in the world of activism. Though she still frequently speaks out on issues of race, immigration and human rights, her biggest feat of the year came in August with the founding of She Se Pueda, an organization dedicated to bettering the lives of Hispanic women through the provision of resources and communal engagement. Longoria also played an integral role in the 2020 election, becoming the face of encouraging Americans to vote and hosting the first night of the Democratic National Convention.

Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez is no stranger to success, having a career in acting and singing from a very young age, but 2020 provided Gomez with a platform to openly discuss mental health. The release of her newest album, Rare , earlier in the year tells her struggles of self-acceptance and mental health. The album opened doors for Gomez to continue the conversation openly, which she did at the 2020 Virtual Teen Vogue Summit. Speaking about her personal struggles with her bipolar disorder diagnoses, she heavily advocates for the normalization of therapy, stating that, Theres no way people arent feeling a certain waywe all need each other. For her 28
th
birthday, Gomez also launched the Rare Impact Fund to raise millions of dollars for mental health facilities in underserved communities.
