Every year from September 15 to October 15, Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success. Serving as one of our country's most anticipated kickoff celebrations for Hispanic Heritage Month, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) hosts its annual Leadership Conference and Annual Awards Gala, this year from September 13 to 15. This three-day event is the largest gathering of Latino leaders in Washington, DC, convening more than 2,000 policymakers, community leaders, and allies to honor our community's strength, contribution, and growing leadership. Following two years of virtual events, the 2022 Leadership Conference and 45th Annual Awards Gala will take place in person at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in the nation's capital, Washington, DC. CHCI is the premier Hispanic nonprofit and nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization in the country dedicated to developing the next generation of Latino leaders. CHCI provides leadership, public service, and policy experiences to outstanding Latino/a/x students and young professionals. The organization also convenes members of Congress, other public officials, corporate executives, nonprofit advocates, and thought leaders to discuss issues facing the nation and the Hispanic community. This year's event guiding theme, Rooted in Strength, Achieving Our Dreams, is a testament to the power and promise of the Latino community in the United States. A dynamic agenda of plenaries and interactive sessions will cover a broad range of issues, including environmental justice, Latino economic advancement, immigration, racial and social equity, and more. This event is sure to empower and inspire and will chart the path for how Latinos across the country are leading us into a brighter future. To register and attend, visit chci.org.
